• Freelancer Account is offered as a Current account only.
• For individuals of 18 years and above.
• Account will be opened in Pak Rupee and customer has the option to open a linked Exporter’s Special Foreign Currency Account to retain their foreign currency.
• This account is only offered to New to Bank (NTB) customers.
• The account can be opened through CNIC/ SNIC.
• No minimum monthly balance requirements.
• Free PAYPAK debit card for first year only. Charges will apply as per prevailing SOBC for subsequent years
• Simple and self-account opening

Branch Account tagged as Freelancer

• Customer can open any account in the Branch and tag themselves as a Freelancer to avail all the benefits of a Freelancer.

Exporter’s Special Foreign Currency Account

• Open an Exporter’s Special Foreign Currency Account and link it with your Primary PKR Freelancer Digital Account or Primary PKR Freelancer Account and enjoy retaining your foreign currency.
• Debit Card for individuals linked to your ESFCA (coming soon)
• Retain 50% of your foreign currency in your ESFCA

How to apply

Any one of the following documents may be used as a proof of identity for opening of Freelancer Account​

• Computerized/Smart National Identity Card (CNIC/SNIC)

• Visit your nearest Foreign Currency enabled HBL branch and request to open an Exporter’s Special Foreign Currency Account (ESFCA) linked to your PKR Freelancer Account to enjoy retaining your Foreign Currency!
