Overview

This payment gateway system has been developed by State Bank of Pakistan, which provides state-of-the-art Payment System that enables real-time transfer of money securely and for FREE. Through this service, customer will be able to send and receive funds using bank’s mobile app, internet banking or over the counter services.

RAAST ID Creation:

Customers can create a RAAST ID by linking their Account Number or IBAN with their registered mobile number via HBL’s Digital Channels

Sending & Receiving Funds:

Customer can share their RAAST ID with others to receive funds in their HBL / Konnect by HBL account
Customers can send funds in anyone’s RAAST ID, IBAN and Account number using RAAST service

HBL Mobile

RAAST ID Creation:

Step 1: Sign into your HBL Mobile

Step 2: Tap on ‘RAAST ID Management’

Step 3: Select account that you want to link from ‘Link Account’ dropdown and tap ‘Create ID’

De-Link RAAST ID

Step 1: Sign into your HBL Mobile

Step 2: Tap on ‘RAAST ID Management’

Step 3: Select account that you want to de-link from ‘Link Account’ dropdown and tap ‘De-Link ID’

Re-Link RAAST ID

Step 1: Sign into your HBL Mobile

Step 2: Tap on ‘RAAST ID Management’

Step 3: Select account that you want to re-link from ‘Link Account’ dropdown and tap ‘Re-Link ID’

Konnect By HBL

HOW TO MAKE PAYMENTS

HBL Mobile

Step 1: Sign into your HBL Mobile

Step 2: Tap ‘Send Money’ and click on ‘Raast’

Step 3: Select ‘Account Type (RAAST ID, IBAN or Bank Account)’.

Send money on RAAST ID/ IBAN – Select Account Type ‘RAAST ID/ IBAN’, add recipient’s phone number/ IBAN ( you can also add recipient’s details by scanning the QR or selecting a contact from the contact list) and tap ‘Next’
Send money on Account Number – Select Account Type ‘Account Number’, Select ‘Bank Name’ from the dropdown, add recipient’s account number and tap ‘Next’

Step 4: Recipient’s ‘Account Title’ will appear, add amount and tap ‘Next’

Step 5: Enter OTP (One Time Password) to complete transaction

Konnect by HBL

Step 1: Sign into your Konnect App

Step 2: Tap ‘Send Money’ and tap on ‘Add RAAST ID/IBAN’ to add a recipient

Step 3: Add recipient’s ‘RAAST ID/ IBAN’, add recipient’s mobile phone number and tap ‘Next’

Step 4: Select the recipient from the beneficiary list, details will appear, add amount and tap ‘Next’

Step 5: A ‘confirm Payment’ pop-up will appear with recipient’s account title and amount, tap ‘Pay’ to complete transaction

HBL Mobile

Step 1: Sign into your HBL Mobile

Step 2: Tap ‘Send Money’ and click on ‘Raast’

Step 3: Select ‘Account Type (RAAST ID, IBAN or Bank Account)’.

Q. What is Raast?

Raast is Pakistan’s first instant payment system that will enable end-to-end digital payments among individuals, businesses and government entities instantaneously. The state-of-the-art Pakistan’s Faster Payment System will be used to settle small-value retail payments in real time while at the same time provide a cheap and universal access to all players in the financial industry including banks and fintechs.

Q. What is Raast ID?

It’s a simple identifier (currently mobile number) that you link with your bank account, through this Raast ID you can start receiving funds in your linked account.

Q. How is Raast different from IBFT?

In IBFT, you require bank account number for sending and receiving payments, whereas through RAAST you can send and receive money from anywhere across Pakistan on your registered Raast ID

Q. Is there a limit on transactions on RAAST?

For now, per day transfer limit is PKR 200,000 but branchless banking account limits apply

Q. What are the charges on using RAAST?

As of now there are no charges for using RAAST services

Q. Can I create more than 1 Raast ID?

No, a customer can only register 1 Raast ID with one linked account

Q. Can I link more than one bank to my RAAST ID?

No, at a time you can only link one bank account to your Raast ID.

Q. Can I use any other ID to create a RAAST ID?

No, you can only use your mobile phone number to set up your RAAST ID

Q. Is RAAST available for Foreign Currency or Corporate Accounts?

No, RAAST is only available for single and joint customer accounts

Q. Can remittances be received on RAAST?

No, Remittances can’t be received using RAAST Services

Q. If a Beneficiary has deleted their Raast ID will the transaction be successful?

No, the transaction will be rejected if the beneficiary has deleted their Raast ID

Q. Can I change the accounts linked to my RAAST ID?

Yes, you can de-link your Raast ID from your current bank account and can re-link that Raast ID with another bank account.

Q. How can I delete my Raast ID?

HBL Mobile users can initiate the delete request for Raast ID by calling HBL Helpline 021-111-111-425. Konnect by HBL users can initiate the delete request for Raast ID by calling Konnect by HBL Helpline 021-111-425-111.
