Overview

HBL, with over 300 Exchange Dealing branches across the country, is fully equipped with the requisite infrastructure/systems, to handle Foreign Exchange Business. It has well defined contours in terms of Products and Service offering to different customer segments. All Authorized Dealers (AD) of HBL are functioning under the supervision of trained and experienced staff for the efficient delivery of the FX Services to individual customers.

With a view to facilitate the Individual customers who are maintaining accounts including FCY Accounts individually/jointly and walk in customers, HBL’s Branches are offering FX Services to meet legitimate needs of customers permissible/sanctioned under the FE Regulations & FE Manual.

With the exception of some parameters following are commonly utilized services: (FX Services available to customers/individuals* )

  • Opening of Foreign Currency Accounts for individuals.
  • Deposits and withdrawals of FCY Notes over the counters by individuals.
  • Collecting inward remittances and affecting outward remittances permissible to individuals.
  • Remittance & Release of Cash in Foreign Exchange for Medical Treatment Abroad
  • Remittance & Release of Cash in Foreign Exchange for Studies Abroad.
  • Purchase of FCY Notes (Convertible into PKR) from all incoming passengers, whether Pakistani or foreigners.
  • Sale/release of foreign exchange to persons proceeding abroad/travel within amount sanctioned/delegated authority to an Authorized Dealer.
  • All exchange dealing branches of HBL accept and process applications of customers who intend to send remittances on account of medical treatment and studies abroad permitted by way of paragraphs 23 and 38 of Chapter-17 of FEM and EPD circular letter No. 14 dated September 14, 2018

*All FX Services shall be processed & executed as per FE Regulations, FE Circulars & guidelines available in FE Manual.
